Health Check-up Camp – 08th Feb 2026

Location: Shiv Mandir of Kakrola Gaon (village), near Chopal New Delhi

Event Introduction

In partnership with the Shiv Mandir Management Committee of Kakrola Village, Sector 16 B, Dwarka, and leading healthcare providers, Humanity Always First Charitable Trust (HAFCT) organized a mega free health check-up camp at the Shiv Mandir of Kakrola Gaon (village), near Chopal. The main beneficiaries were the residents of the village Kakrola.

Mandir Hall was provided with lot of open space to conduct the mega helath check-up camp. 124 villagers were the beneficiaries from the age groups of 8 to 82 years. Out of 124, 77 were females & 47 were males

15 beneficiaries were recommended for further check-up at the Sharp Sight Eye Clinic as they check-up require cataract surgery. 10were provided free reading glasses. 13 were advised to visit the clinic for dilation of eyes for better record / reading of the eyes and required power for the spectacles / treatment (if any). One beneficiary was recommended for Retina examination. Six opted for Thyroid Blood Test as the others were NOT empty stomach, which is pre-requisite for the test. Four under went the ECG test on the recommendations of the Dr. present from the Apollo Hospital.

Like all other camps, BP and Sugar was found to be high in most cases. Nine were found to have very high levels of blood sugar. They were advised immediate consultations for proper medication under medical advice. 

One lady was advised a chest Xray to further examine her feeble state of health. Follow up of the same revealed that she had onset of TB. Thereafter she was advised to take test – Quantiferon Gold Test for TB and Mantoux Test for TB. The results were found to be positive. Her treatment has started for a 6 months course of medicines with intermittent / periodic reviews.

Health Discoveries

Hidden Health Threats Detected

For 124 community members, February 08st revealed hidden health threats. Early detection of these conditions enables timely intervention to prevent serious complications including heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and vision loss.

Blood Pressure & Cardiovascular Risk

Multiple beneficiaries discovered dangerously elevated blood pressure levels without any prior symptoms. Some readings indicated immediate risk for heart attacks and strokes. Physicians provided counseling on salt reduction, stress management, and daily monitoring. For working-age adults, this screening identified a treatable condition before it became life-threatening.

Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders

Several individuals tested positive for undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes, while others showed pre-diabetic glucose levels. In Six cases random blood sugar exceeded 250 mg/dL. Early detection enables management through diet, exercise, and medication before complications develop.

Vision Correction

Eye examinations revealed numerous cases of uncorrected myopia affecting reading & work capacity of beneficiaries. Many received spectacles on-site for conditions they’d lived with for years due to cost barriers. Immediate vision correction improved both safety and quality of life.

Vision Correction Story

28 beneficiaries who have been advised immediate Eye checkup at the eye clinic for likely cataract / glaucoma treatment or for dilation of the eyes for a better examination.

10 beneficiaries who were provided with spectacles on the spot as per the eye’s power / vision needs.

Thyroid Test

06 beneficiaries who opted for Thyroid Blood Test. Their test report has been shared directly by the lab with them.

Shiv Mandir, Chopal, Kakrola Gaon Support

The Mandir Management Committee facilitated the venue, and community outreach for the health camp. All administrative & infrastructure support was provided by the committee for the smooth conduct of the camp.

  • Thyroid Blood Testing: blood sample taken for those who wanted to be tested
  • Eye Testing: Vision screening with on-site spectacle provision
