(To commemorate the Army Day on 15th Jan)

Event Overview

Date: 18th January 2026
At GK-3, New Delhi

Event Introduction

HAFCT organized a Blood Donation Camp in partnership with Pusa Road Blood Bank Organization.

There were only 08 donors, 03 females and 05 male. The donors were screened by an MBBS doctor for their health condition and previous donor history. Strict norms of minimum weight 55 Kgs, minimum Hemoglobin 12:5 and BP with in admissible limits was ensured for each donor. The donors were tested for their weight, BP, Sugar, Hemoglobin.

There were many volunteer donors who were screened out for low hemoglobin and high BP condition. The Blood Grouping of all donors was also ascertained. A few donors did not know their blood group type which was told to them on the spot.

A total of 13 residents volunteered to donate blood, each leaving with a better understanding of their health status and actionable medical advice. However, only 08 were screened fit to donate blood.

Health Discoveries & Blood Report

For a few donors it was revelation as they were screened out due to less weight and low Hemoglobin. Early detection of these conditions enables timely intervention to prevent serious complications.

Post Blood Donation Camp, the Blood was processed in the Pusa Road Lab for checking each donated blood unit for Venereal Disease, HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. The Blood Bank Organization shared the report of all the 08 donors as Negative and Normal. The same was communicated by HAFCT to all the blood donors.
