Bringing Healthcare to the Community

In partnership with government representatives and leading healthcare providers, Humanity Always First Charitable Trust organized a comprehensive free health check-up camp at Sector-12, RK Puram Main Market.

On Saturday, 29th November 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM, we transformed the Main Market location into a hub of healthcare accessibility. The majority of our beneficiaries came from low-income housing clusters such as Ambedkar Colony and Kanak Durga Colony—communities where access to comprehensive health check-ups is severely limited due to financial constraints and lack of nearby medical facilities.

What made this camp truly special was the comprehensive range of free health services offered. From basic health screenings to specialized consultations, from young children to our respected elders, every individual received personalized attention and care. Given Delhi's ongoing challenges with air pollution, we placed special emphasis on lung function testing—a critical need for our community's respiratory health.

A total of 189 community members walked through our doors that day, each leaving with a better understanding of their health status, actionable medical advice, and in many cases, immediate relief through on-site spectacle provision or dental guidance. For many, this was their first comprehensive health screening in years.

Critical Health Discoveries

For 189 community members, November 29th revealed hidden health threats. Early detection of these conditions enables timely intervention to prevent serious complications including heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and vision loss.

❤️

Undiagnosed Hypertension

Multiple beneficiaries discovered dangerously elevated blood pressure levels without any prior symptoms. Some readings indicated immediate risk for heart attacks and strokes. Physicians provided counseling on salt reduction, stress management, and daily monitoring. For working-age adults, this screening identified a treatable condition before it became life-threatening.

Elevated Blood Sugar Levels

Several individuals tested positive for undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes, while others showed pre-diabetic glucose levels. One woman's random blood sugar exceeded 250 mg/dL—she'd attributed her fatigue and thirst to aging. Early detection enables management through diet, exercise, and medication before complications develop.

Vision Problems Affecting Daily Life

Eye examinations revealed numerous cases of uncorrected myopia affecting children's education and adults' work capacity. Many received spectacles on-site for conditions they'd lived with for years due to cost barriers. Immediate vision correction improved both safety and quality of life.

🦴

Bone Density Loss & Osteoporosis

BMD testing identified concerning bone density loss, particularly among women and elderly beneficiaries. One 68-year-old showed severe osteoporosis, putting her at high fracture risk. These findings prompted specific recommendations for calcium supplementation, vitamin D intake, and weight-bearing exercises to maintain mobility and independence.

🫁

Reduced Lung Capacity from Pollution

Pulmonary function tests revealed significantly reduced lung capacity in community members with high pollution exposure. Auto-rickshaw drivers and street vendors showed lung function comparable to smokers despite never smoking. One 35-year-old's capacity tested at 60% of normal. Results prompted N95 mask distribution and breathing exercise training.
