Health Check-up Camp \u2013 <\/strong>11th<\/sup> Jan 2026<\/strong><\/h2>

(To Commemorate World Hindi Day on 10th<\/sup> Jan, festivals of Lohri on 13th<\/sup> Jan & Makar Sankranti with the 10th<\/sup> Veterans Day on 14th<\/sup> Jan )<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Event Overview<\/strong><\/p>

Location:<\/strong> Arya Samaj Mandir, Vikas Puri (Outer Ring Road), New Delhi<\/p>

Event Introduction<\/strong><\/p>

In partnership with the Management Committee of Arya Samaj Mandir, Vikas Puri (Outer Ring Road) and leading healthcare providers, Humanity Always First Charitable Trust (HAFCT) organized a comprehensive free health check-up camp at the Community Hall of the Arya Samaj Mandir, at Vikas Puri. The main beneficiaries were the residents and domestic staff of the residents of Vikas Puri.<\/p>

What made this camp truly special was that it coincided with the World Hindi day on 10th<\/sup> Jan followed by the festival of Lohri \/ Makar Sankranti as well as the 10th<\/sup> Veterans Day on 14th<\/sup> Jan 2026. A befitting occasion to organize a comprehensive range of free health services. From basic health screenings to specialized consultations, from young children to elders including Super Senior Citizens. Every individual received personalized attention and care. Given Delhi’s ongoing challenges with air pollution, we placed special emphasis on lung function testing\u2014a critical need for our community’s respiratory health.<\/p>

114<\/strong> community members walked through our doors that day and left with a better understanding of their health status, actionable medical advice, and in many cases, immediate relief through on-site spectacle provision. For many, this was their first comprehensive health screening in years. Thyroid Blood Test and Hearing Test was done for the first time by many beneficiaries.<\/p>

Health Discoveries<\/strong><\/p>

Hidden Health Threats Detected<\/strong><\/p>

For 114 community members, January 11th<\/sup> revealed hidden health threats right in the beginning of the year 2026. Early detection of these conditions enables timely intervention to prevent serious complications including heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and vision loss.<\/p>

Blood Pressure & Cardiovascular Risk<\/strong><\/p>

Multiple beneficiaries discovered dangerously elevated blood pressure levels without any prior symptoms. Some readings indicated immediate risk for heart attacks and strokes. Physicians provided counseling on salt reduction, stress management, and daily monitoring. For working-age adults, this screening identified a treatable condition before it became life-threatening.<\/p>

Diabetes & Metabolic Disorders<\/strong><\/p>

Several individuals tested positive for undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes, while others showed pre-diabetic glucose levels. In Six cases random blood sugar exceeded 250 mg\/dL. Early detection enables management through diet, exercise, and medication before complications develop.<\/p>

Vision Correction<\/strong><\/p>

Eye examinations revealed numerous cases of uncorrected myopia affecting reading & work capacity of beneficiaries. Many received spectacles on-site for conditions they’d lived with for years due to cost barriers. Immediate vision correction improved both safety and quality of life.<\/p>

Bone Density & Osteoporosis<\/strong><\/p>

BMD testing identified concerning bone density loss, particularly among women and elderly beneficiaries. A few showed severe osteoporosis, putting themselves at high fracture risk. These findings prompted specific recommendations for calcium supplementation, vitamin D intake, and weight-bearing exercises to maintain mobility and independence.<\/p>

Lung Function & Respiratory Health<\/strong><\/p>

Pulmonary function tests revealed significantly reduced lung capacity in community members with high pollution exposure. Auto-rickshaw drivers and street vendors showed lung function comparable to smokers despite never smoking. In few cases capacity tested at less than 50% of normal. Results prompted N95 mask distribution and breathing exercise training.<\/p>

Vision Correction Story<\/strong><\/p>

21 beneficiaries <\/strong>who have been advised immediate Eye checkup at the eye clinic by dilation of the eyes<\/strong> for detailed examination.<\/p>

11 beneficiaries <\/strong>who have been advised immediate Eye checkup at the eye clinic for likely cataract \/ glaucoma<\/strong> treatment.<\/p>

07 beneficiaries<\/strong> who were provided with spectacles<\/strong> on the spot as per the eye\u2019s power \/ vision needs.<\/p>

Thyroid Test<\/strong><\/p>

13 beneficiaries<\/strong> who opted for Thyroid Blood Test. Their test report has been shared directly by the lab with them.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/strong>Arya Samaj Mandir Management Committee Support<\/strong><\/p>

The Mandir Management Committee facilitated the venue, and community outreach for the health camp. All administrative & infrastructure support was provided by the committee for the smooth conduct of the camp.<\/p>

Services Provided<\/strong><\/p>

  1. General Medical Physicians<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

    Expert physicians provided comprehensive health assessments, medical consultations, and follow-up guidance to all beneficiaries. Services included:<\/p>

    • Blood Pressure (BP) Check<\/li>
    • Random Blood Sugar Check<\/li>
    • Weight Check<\/li>
    • Basic Physical Examination<\/li><\/ul>
      1. Ayurvedic Consultation (Full Body Chek-up)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

        Holistic health assessments and traditional wellness solutions complementing modern medical screening services. Ayurveda products available for eligible beneficiaries. Total 73 beneficiaries consulted the Ayurvedic Dr Team and 52 took therapy for check up<\/p>

        1. Homeopathy Consultation <\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

          Team of the Delhi Chapter of Homeopaths was unable to be present so Dr. Shilpi Gupta of Vikas Puri did the consultation for traditional wellness solutions complementing modern medical screening services. Homeopathic products \/ medicines were available for eligible beneficiaries. Total 54 beneficiaries consulted the Homeopathy Dr Team & took medicines.<\/p>

          1. Dental Care (Navneesh Dental Clinic)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

            Professional dental examinations, oral hygiene guidance, preventive care advice, and treatment recommendations. Services included:<\/p>

            • Oral Dental Examination<\/li>
            • Dental Hygiene Counseling<\/li>
            • Preventive Measures Guidance<\/li><\/ul>
              1. Specialized Testing<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>
                • BMD Testing:<\/strong> Bone density analysis for osteoporosis screening<\/li>
                • BMI Testing:<\/strong> Body Mass Index for weight management<\/li>
                • PFT Testing:<\/strong> Lung capacity assessment (emphasis on pollution impact)<\/li>
                • ECG:<\/strong> based on recommendations of the Physician<\/li>
                • Thyroid Testing:<\/strong> blood sample taken for those who wanted to be tested<\/li>
                • Eye Testing:<\/strong> Vision screening with on-site spectacle provision<\/li>
                • Dental Examination:<\/strong> Oral dental hygiene<\/li>

                    Age range: 9 years to 83 years<\/strong><\/p>

                    Sugar Level Distribution of Beneficiaries<\/strong><\/p>

                    Total beneficiaries: 70 people<\/strong>
                    Age range: 32 years to 83 years<\/strong><\/p>

                    Sugar Levels were found to be high in most of the beneficiaries ranging from 421<\/p>

                    BP Level Distribution of Beneficiaries<\/strong><\/p>

                    Total beneficiaries: 68 people<\/strong>
                    Age range: 19 years to 83 years<\/strong><\/p>

                    BP Levels were also found to be on the higher side ranging from 148 \/ 102 to 193 \/ 111<\/p>
